count by month
I have a range of cells with dates (mm/dd/yy). I wish to count how many
entries I have in a monthly time period. i.e. how many insances do I have in December 05? |
count by month
If the dates are in column A, the count is =countif(a:a,"=" &
date(2005,12,1))-countif(a:a,"=" & date(2006,1,1)). In words, count the number of entries dated Dec 05 or later, then subtract the number dated Jan 06 or later. The net is those dated Dec 05. --Bruce "gpoky" wrote: I have a range of cells with dates (mm/dd/yy). =SUMPRODUCT(--(TEXT(A1:A1000,"mmmyy")="Dec05"))
