Howeractivate Excel after a macro failure
To improve performance, at the beginning of my macros, I do
DoNotPopulate = True Application.ScreenUpdating = False and restore these at the end. How do I manually re-enable excel sheet operation if the macro fails before completion? Ctl-Brk or Run - Reset is no help. |

From the Immediate window, you can type application.screenupdating = true
I have no idea about the donotpopulate as that is something I am unfamiliar with. (Perhaps also from the immdiate window, but I wouldn't want to say.) You could also run a macro. I saw this idea on (I believe) dailydoseofxcel blog (dick's blog.) I think I copied this into my personal.xls. Let me check ... Public Sub ResetExcel() On Error Resume Next Application.EnableEvents = True Application.StatusBar = False Application.Calculation = xlAutomatic Application.Cursor = xlDefault Application.ReferenceStyle = xlA1 ActiveSheet.EnableSelection = xlNoRestrictions ActiveSheet.ClearArrows ActiveSheet.DisplayAutomaticPageBreaks = False End Sub Actually was not in personal.xls but I am putting it there now. -- Kevin Vaughn "John" wrote: To improve performance, at the beginning of my macros, I do DoNotPopulate = True Application.ScreenUpdating = False and restore these at the end.
