Sharing Violation error
Dear Gentlemen:
Now, when I save or save as any document I am getting the following message: "Your changes could not be saved to XXX because of a sharing violation. Excel has created a temporary file...." and it creates new files with new names every time. How can I turn off this furntion or how can I resolve this? Thanks -- Locototin |

Sounds like a "rights" thing .........has anything changed recently, new
computer, ne access to directories you didn't previously use.........or maybe your MIS dept just changed something and you got left out...........try to save the file to your hard drive, and/or have someone else try to save the file on their computer, not to the network........if any of those things work, you probably have to contact your MIS dept to straighten things out...... hth Vaya con Dios, Chuck, CABGx3 "Locototin" wrote: Dear Gentlemen: Now, when I save or save as any document I am getting the following message: "Your changes could not be saved to XXX because of a sharing violation. Hi Rachel.........
I responded to the OP with several things to check, but never heard back.....maybe one of them led to the solution.......... Here's a copy of my post......
