Sizing individual Cells

Does anyone know if it is possible to size individual cells, or seperate
sections of a worksheet so that collums can be sized independed of the rest
of the worksheet?

No, the only way to do that would be to merge cells, I would not recommend
that though since it usually causes problems, you can however remove
gridlines and put text over multiple cells and then use borders making it
look that way since I assume you want it done for design reasons
