How do I # my rows in ascending order.
 
My first row is numbered 28 on the side bar. How do change that to number
one, two, three etc...?

I'd use Column A for your row numbers. Or insert a new column if A is
already used. Then use this formula in A28:

=Row()-27

Copy down as needed.
