how do i get Data from another sheet
 

i am working with excel 2003 pro.

on Sheet1 i have the database eg
01 - 50 = 10,
51 - 100 = 15
100 - 150 = 30
so on....

On sheet2 i have a cell where i want excel to pick up data from sheet1

eg Sheet2 Cell A1 has value 140.
i want Cell B3 to Pick up 30.

I have tried IF function, but it does not help.... Please suggest a solution.

Try =Sheetname followed bty ! then cell ref
(eg if you require data from C3 on sheet 2 it would be =Sheet2!C3

although a simpler way is to type the equals sign then click on the sheet
tab (bottom of sheets then click on the cell - pressing enter finishes it
