Macro buttons disappeared
When I opened Excel this morning, my many macro buttons were gone. The
external data toolbar was not selected, so I re-selected it, but the macro buttons weren't there. Does anyone know how to get the buttons back, or do I have to set them up again? Any ideas on why this happened? |
Macro buttons disappeared
I have no idea what happened to them.
But after you recreate them (manual effort???), make sure you make a backup of the file that holds those customized toolbars. Close excel use windows start button|search to find *.xlb Search in hidden folders for hidden files, too. (I'd delete all but the one you just created--check the creation date/time.) And back that file up to a nice location. So if, er, when it happens again, you can just take that backup version and paste it into the correct folder (all with excel closed).
