HELP, I'VE FORGOTTEN
I have a column with text. The text is a list of different names.
Any one of six names can be input into the cell. Rather than retyping the same name over I used to press a key or key combination on the next empty cell to give me a drop down selection of previous cell entries that I could choose from, but I've forgotten it. Can you refresh my memory? I'ts similar to pressing right button on a cell and selecting 'pick from list' but it's done on the keyboard. |

HELP, I'VE FORGOTTEN
If I understand you correctly, you can either just start typing and when you
type enough to make that entry unique (which if all of the entries start with a different letter will be after you type the 1st character,) Excel will display the matching entry and you can accept it by hitting enter. Or, you can right-click and choose pick from list. -- Kevin Vaughn "Mickey Mouse" wrote: I have a column with text. The text is a list of different names. HELP, I'VE FORGOTTEN
I hadn't tried this until after I posted. This also works. I should have
tried it before posting. -- Kevin Vaughn "SteveG" wrote: Alt+down arrow.
