How to extract data from a wooksheet in a closed workbook
Hi can anyone help me out in this. I am trying to create a inventory
worksheet(master summary). What is does is that it is able to extract inventory data from worksheets in a close workbook that is given to me by the supplier. After the data is extracted, these data will then be populated to respective cell in the master summary. My problem is to get the master summary sheet to where and how to extract the required data. I hope someone cul be kind enough to point me to a solution. Thanks |

kuansheng.
I like to use Data/Import External Data/New Database Query. You may have to set up ODBC for Excel in Windows Administrative tools With this query you can extract the data you need, and have it updateable when the original file is changed.
