filtering pivot table!
 

hi all!

how can i get a custom filtered data in a pivot table? for example i am
having a pivot table having datewise sales data for a month with date as
page filed.

what i want is the data for a given period of dates!

help pl?!

Hi

You cannot group date when the field is used as a page field.
Drag the field to the Row area.
Right click on FieldGroupAnd Select Month or whatever period you want.
Drag field back to Page area.

Note: In order to grouped dates, there must be no empty cells in the
range, and all dates must be valid Excel dates, not text representations
of date.
