how can I set up a master template and have the changes copied to.

I am trying to set up an Excel spreadsheet and have it be a "master template"
and also have a network version accessiable to other office users. How can I
make sure that the changes that I make on the local master are transferred to
the network version?

Save all your work (many interim saves, if you're like me).

Then use windows explorer to copy your template from the local drive to the
network folder.

You could use some macro approach to update both copies, but I would think that
would be too scary. If I have 3 hours of changes to make, I'd only want to
share the last version--not the intermediate saves.

You can make changes to the master template.
Then, delete the network copy, and save a new copy of the master
template on the network.
