Formating a cell in Excell

Several years ago I created an excell worksheet wherein I formatted cells so
that you didn't have to enter the = sign before preforming a calculation
within that cell, e.g. you could add two numbers together without placing the
= sign in front. I am unable to remember how I did this. Does anyone have
any idea how I might have formatted the cells?

Actually, it is Tools/Options/Transition then check Transition Formula Entry.
Interestingly, this only appears to change the worksheet that you make this
change in. A different sheet within the same workbook will continue to use
Excel's formula entry rules.

Kevin,

Thanks for the quick reply. It was so long ago that I created a worksheet
using the transition formula entry tab that I forgot how to do it. Thanks
for the info.
