Cells and and spaces after a string of text

Hi,

When downloading information from another system in to excel and when doing
a formula for instance VLOOKUP the formula will never work because the
formats from the download in the cells do not correspond to the format within
excel, becuase there is a space after the text, for example (CLL94 ). For
me to overcome this problem is to delete the spacious and bring it back in
line with excel.

As there is huge volume is there a quicker way I can remove the spaces so
the formats are consistant so formuals can work?

Thanks

Hatle

If there are trailing spaces in a particular column of data, the
easiest way to remove those unwanted trailing spaces is Data Text to
Columns, select Fixed Width and immediately click on Finish.
