Why does excel seem to only calculate yield using prices under $100. What if
a security is priced above par? Am I missing something?

The Yield function works for me with prices over par. Post an example of your
problem so we can help you track it down.

Fred, appreciate the response, I got it figured out... had to do with the
number of compounding periods.
