Fold / unfold without subtotals function

Is there another way to create a kind of fold/unfold without using the
subtotal function in Excel?
I have seen in the past something were the user could press a '+' sign to
unfold general ledgers accounts. This was not the subtotal function.

Any idea is welcome.
Thanks

Yes it's the Group & Outline option on the Data menu.

Ie if you want to apply it to a column (or range of adjacent columns) select
it/them, Click Data menu then Group & Outline, then click Group and select
Columns.

You will get the little plus sign at the top of the worksheet and you can
click it to open/close that range

Hope that helps
