Is there an array function or something like it?
I'm curious if anyone knows if it's possible to feed a bunch of random cells
into an array, and as those cells are populated (regardless of which gets a value 1st), to have the value of said cells populate a list elswhere on the worksheet? Example: I've created a baseball dimond on a worksheet, and on another worksheet as I list players and positions, they populate the worksheet with the diamond, and put the players in the correct position. There are also several places on the diamond where I put secondary (or bench) players. What I would like to do is have all the bench players (who occupy random cells on the worksheet) to fall into a list in a different place on the same worksheet. So if cells B12, D18, Q22, and W2 contain the bench players, I would like them to fall into a list (say from cells A1 to A4 as they are populated). I guess the key is that the cells that will host the bench players will be populated randomly, not in any specific order. Hope that wasn't too redundant. thanks, -paul |
