I can't drag a worksheet to sort
 

I have been using EXCELL as a customer list for years.
all of a sudden I can't left click and hold mouse key down to drag an entire
column right and then go up to top of page and sort worksheet by column.It
will drag 3 or 4 spaces and then discontinue. some time I cant even click on
a row to start.
