Why does Excel change the dates I input?
I have formated a cell range for dates, but Excel completely changes the
numbers I input to these cells. I have checked my computer's regional settings - OK. This has happened on several spreadsheets. |

Example: 01/01/2006 turned into 10/10/4670

I don't know the answer to your problem, but, if I enter 10/10/4670 and then
format as General, the following number is shown: 1012006 This seems highly coincidental. Are you actually entering the /s as below? I don't really have another idea.
