Web Link in Cell
 

Is it possible to have a web link in an excel spreadsheet that'll open
a file on a website. I've tried <a
href="http://www.company.com/file.pdffile</a but it didn't create a
hotlink.

I don't know if there is a code for it, but you can set it
automatically:

just go to insert - hyperlink & type the link you want.
