Can i move scanned jpeg text to excel spreadsheets
I scanned a price list into a JPEG format now i would like to move it to a
excel spreadsheet that i can edit and make changes. If not, how can i copy this printed text price sheets from a booklet onto a excel speadsheet without typing all the text. |

I think your scanner would need to have Optical Character Recognition (OCR)
software to extract the text from the image source. I'm not sure it can be done directly from the JPEG. If the scanner is not equipped with this software can i install the software

That would depend upon your scanner.
I believe most of them will support OCR. I've only used a couple of scanners, but they both came with their own OCR software. Check with your manufacturer for support. Also check the 'net for "Textbridge" which seems to be one of the most popular OCR applications. "Text Bridge" is frequently bundled with a scanner, look for
it on the installation CD for your scanner. |
