couting transactions for same time
i have a table with 3 columns...column A has the date, column B has the time, and column C has the # of transactions. how do i sum up the transactions that occur at the same time. e.g. Column A Column B Column C 12/15/2005 9:45 AM 2 12/15/2005 9:45 AM 3 12/15/2005 10:00 AM 4 So instead of having 2 entries for 9:45 AM, i just want one for each time period so the # of transactions would be 5. note: this data is pulled from a report and also i do not want to use a pivot table either -- kdp145 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ kdp145's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29594 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=493776 |
couting transactions for same time
One way could be to enter the date to total in D1,
And the time to total in D2, And try this formula: =SUMPRODUCT((A1:A100=D1)*(B1:B100=D2)*C1:C100) -- HTH, RD ================================================== === Please keep all correspondence within the Group, so all may benefit! ================================================== === "kdp145" wrote in message ... i have a table with 3 columns...column A has the date, column B has the time, and column C has the # of transactions. how do i sum up the transactions that occur at the same time.
