Column A shows the date of my entries. Column B and C shows data I am
entering from other sources. Column D I have addition formulas for columns B
and C.

When graphing the data I would like to graph through the end of the month.
For column B and C the graph line ends. For column D the graph lines flat
lines at 0 when data value is 0.

How do I graph (keeping the addition formulas) and not have the data flat
line?

Thanks

Unfortunately, I think as long as there is something in the cell (text,
a blank, a number) it will show a marker and line so this requires a
little bit of out of the box thinking.

1) Create a dummy series of blanks equal to the number of dates that
should show along the x axis.
2) Add this series to the chart. It should be the first series. It
will "lock" the x-axis to the full month.
3) At the top of my sheet I'd probably add label titled "Data through:
" or something like that. To the right of that I'd type in the date of
the most recent data. Let's say this is in cell C1 data itself starts
in C4.
4) For your real data, create a dynamic named reference using the
offset formula. Insert Name Define. Call it something like,
"Chart_Data" and for the reference enter =Offset($c$4,0,0,$c$1,1).
5) In your chart, change the reference to the data column to the name.
Enter it as =Sheet1!Chart_Data
6) Now when you change the date in C1, the line will adjust.

I'm off to a meeting so I can't be more specific but I'll check in
later.
