Precision as displayed problems

I am having problems with the "precision as displayed function" which is
important to be "on" for my excel files, is there any way to put it "on"
as default as opposed to it being "off" on opening a new excell file?

Also when excel files which are saved with precision as displayed "on"
are posted on a network, another user who opens them by moving or
copying a specific tab to his own file, gets all the files in his
workbook with precision "off", including the original one........is
there a way to stop this?

How can I ensure that precision is on at all times?

Thanks

Precision as displayed problems

Open a new workbook, then use Tools / options.... to set the precision as displayed.

Save the workbook as Book.xlt in your startup folder - it will be the basis of all new workbooks,
and the setting should carry over.
