copy formula using same references
I wish to copy formula and keep the same references ie cell F2 has formula =sum(B2:D2) copy this to cell G6 so that cell G6 shows =sum(B2:D2) but when I copy and paste cell G6 shows =sum(C6:E6) -- macsworks ------------------------------------------------------------------------ macsworks's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=29235 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=489656 |

Change the cell references to be absolute: $B$2:$D$2 instead of B2:D2.
(Highlight the references up in the formula bar and hit the F4 key). Another option is to copy your formula from the Formula Bar at the top.
Copying from the formula bar does not put Excel into Linking mode. HTH. :) -- Dana DeLouis Win XP & Office 2003 "macsworks" wrote in message ... thanks to bpeltzer problem solved -- macsworks |
