importing csv files and dates
hi,
i have to import a csv file into excel on a regular basis. The file contains some data that are dates. For some reason excel insists on converting some of the dates into m/d/y format rather than d/m/y. I cant figure out why. Any clues anyone? does anyone have a way of converting one format to the other? TIA Pete |

Pete,
using the text import or text to columns wizard...in step three there is a column data format box on the top right of window where you can select the formatting of dates. hth, Dave "jiwolf" wrote: hi, i have to import a csv file into excel on a regular basis.
