how to fetch a row and post the row into another sheelt

The first part of your request, taking data from Sheet1 to Sheet2 based on the employee number, looks like use of the VLOOKUP function will do what you need. Take a look at that using Excel's Help feature. The second part, transfering data from Sheet2 to Sheet3 when you close the file, will require use of a macro which will have to be tailored to exactly the information and format that you want.
