Can I use a cell reference in the criteria for the sumif function.
If I use "32" as the criteria in my sumif formula, I receive the correct
answer. If I use C3 as the critera, I receive zero as the answer. Is some way to use a cell reference in the criteria? Excel help says that the criteria can be a "number, expression, or text." |
Place the "" in quotes and use & ---- i.e.
=SUMIF(A1:A100,""&F1,B1:B100) "Number Cruncher" <Number wrote in message ... If I use "32" as the criteria in my sumif formula, I receive the correct answer.
