Hello,
I need to create a formula that produces a total based on two
criterias.

Here is what I did and it did not work. Why?

=SUM(('[AI 50 Download 0405.xls]AI-50 0405 work
copy'!$E$6:$E$1067="SECY")*('[AI 50 Download 0405.xls]AI-50 0405 work
copy'!$A$6:$A$1067="211")*'[AI 50 Download 0405.xls]AI-50 0405 work
copy'!$M$6:$M$1067)
