Default trouble with documents after upgrade

we have upgraded several of our stations from office 2000 on win 2000, to
office 2003 on win xp pro. several users have reported format problems with
their old docs and sheets. ie pages are not laid out the same or info is
missing from the view, and also page numbering issues, ie The header, has the
following entry - Page &[Page]+1 of &[Pages]+2 in which case the end
result is page 1 is page 1, page 2 is page 3, page 3 is page 6, (its adding
the page numbers insted of incromenting) when these sheets are displayed on
office 2000 machines, they are fine. any suggustions ? please respond to

thanks in advance
