What is a CSV file in EXCEL

Hi Everybody,

I have seen a worksheet with macros, having a button named
"generate CSV file". What isthis CSV file & what it will do? How does
it work. Is there any option to generate log file in excel.

Thanks and Regards

Ramana

A CSV file is nothing more than a text file. The data would look alot like
it does in Excel (columns/rows), except CSV means Comma-Separated Values, so
your workbook, when opened with Word or WordPad or NotePad would look more
like this:
Name,Address,City
Ramana,123 Happy Street,Milwaukee
Anne,34 South 3rd Street,Quakertown
:)

Anne Troy,
Much thanks for your detailed advices of the CVS, but could you also
tell why CVS does not exist in the SAVE AS dialog box when following
the demo steps offered in Gmail in moving addresses from Hotmail to
Gmail? This happens the same even I downloaded the updated format pack
from MSN. Thanks.
I.M.Freddy.
