Default How do I create a column that has a 'drop box'

I would like to create a spreadsheet that contains a 'drop box' feature in
certain cells that allow the user to choose from a pre-described list of
values. How can I do this?

Depending on requirements, do a search for
1. ComboBox
2. Data Validation (see menu Data/Validation)

both of which require some sort of pre-defined list in a range of
cells.
