Linking one worksheet to another?
I need to link one worksheet to another sheet in a separate workbook, and I
need the destination worksheet to update accordingly if rows or columns of data are inserted into the source sheet. Can anyone help me? I need a user group to get real-time data in the linked workbook, but no be able to see all of the data in the source sheet. I can create the link, and when I made edits to existing cells, the data transfer occurs. However, if I add a row with the data or column, the linked sheet will not pickup the added information. Any suggestions? |

Jay, can you arrange the source sheet so that the formula in the destination
sheet is a VLOOKUP formula or similar formula? I don't know, I can try it I guess. I would have to do a Vlookup for every
cell in the destination sheet right? "Roland" wrote: Jay, can you arrange the source sheet so that the formula in the destination sheet is a VLOOKUP formula or similar formula? Yes, probably so. If your data are nicely arranged in columns or rows it
should be easy enough. "Jay" wrote: I don't know, I can try it I guess. I would have to do a Vlookup for every cell in the destination sheet right?
