How to set up alarm for cell has entry as date when it expires?
 

I am entering Certificate dates on a Microsoft Excel sheet. I would like an
alarm, like a red band, on the cell, when the date has passed, in other words
when the Certificate has expired.

Use conditional formatting (look it up in Excel help). You will want to
use a formula in the conditional formatting like =A1<today()
