Not all data in AutoFilter pull down
Not sure why all the data isn't shown in the filter pull down. I'd like to
scroll through the pull down instead of using the custom filter option in the pull down. This is a 12,000 line Excel spreadsheet. Could there be a limit on the amount of data displayed in the pull down? Thanks for any help. |
There has been discussion here of a 1,000 item limit

An AutoFilter dropdown list will only show 1000 entries. If your column
has more than 1000 unique items, they can be filtered, but they can't all be displayed in the dropdown list. To AutoFilter for an item that doesn't appear in the dropdown list, you can choose Custom from the dropdown list, and type the criteria. Also, there are a couple of workarounds he http://www.contextures.com/xlautofilter02.html#Limits sacwia01 wrote: Not sure why all the data isn't shown in the filter pull down.
