how can i get formulas in excel to copy and paste?
i have formulas that i am using in one workbook that i need to copy in to
another for another month. however, when i copy the sheet with the formulas or the formulas cells themselves in to the new workbook, just the value comes over and the formulas disappear. when i try to do a Paste Special, I am not getting the normal menu to appear. The menu I get states something with a Source not providing the option of pasting the formula, value, etc. Can anyone provide a solution to correct this problem so that I do not have to retype all the necessary formulas month after month? Thank you. |
if you copy from the formula bar at the top (using ctrl-c) and not the
actual cell you can then go to the new workbook and paste it into the relevant cell.
