Formula to extract a phone# from a cell of text (eg classified)?
I have tried and tried... I'm looking for a formula to extract a phone
number out of an adjacent cell - eg, extract phone num from a cell containing a want-ad description. Any ideas? thanks much! |
One way .. Try RagDyeR's array formula at:

Hi!
You need to provide some samples. Biff "Reuel" wrote in message ... I have tried and tried... I'm looking for a formula to extract a phone number out of an adjacent cell - eg, extract phone num from a cell containing a want-ad description. Any ideas? thanks much! |
Doesn't work with any type of formatted telephone number.
Plus, that want ad would probably have addresses, which negates the *single* number requirement. -- Regards, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Max" wrote in message ...
