how do you calculate the 5th square root in MS Excel?

How do you calculate the square root to the fifth or

square root to the fourth power, etc. in MS Excel?

Thank you.

JE McGimpsey

If you mean the fifth root, or fourth root:

=A1^(1/5)

or

=A1^(1/4)

Hi Secrd
My interpretation of your expression, "the fifth square root"
means taking successive square roots five times. That would be
expressed as a power of a power such as:

= A1^(1/2)^(5), or if you "know" that 2^5 = 32, then use
=A1^(1/32)
= A1^(1/2)^(4), or use =A1^(1/16), etc.

I hope I understood you. GeorgeF
