how do I adjust the SIDE margins for the HEADER and FOOTER?

the usual margin tab under page setup does not seem to allow this (again, this is about the left and right margins, NOT top and bottom)

thanks in advance...

Header/Footer margins are fixed at approx. 3/4 inch.

There is no way to change this setting.

Work-around is to "pad" the headers and footers with spaces.

You can move them inwards this way, but not outwards.
