repeat function???
I know this is probably a stupid question, but a have a column that I want to
read 1 2 1 2 1 2 for the entire column. Some sheets have more 400 lines so i don't want to have to type each one in. Every time I try to drag it down it will not repeat and I tried the repeat formula but it wants to ad decimals and changes the number. any ideas on how to get it to do 1,2 all the way down? Thanks. USE THIS FORMULA AND COPY IT DOWN:
=1+mod(row(2:2),2) "Teric506" wrote: I know this is probably a stupid question, but a have a column that I want to read 1 2 1 2 1 2 for the entire column. Type in the first pair:
1 2 Select these two cells! Fill down with dragging cross at the bottom-right corner of the selected area but with right mouse button! Having released the right mouse button a local menu appears, select Copy cells at the top of it! Can you just make A3=A1 and copy down? If formula is not an option, you can always copy A1:A2, then highlight A3:A400 and paste.
