how do i find # hrs & mins. between 2 different dates and times
In excel I have to keep start and finish times for different product
movements, I am constantly figuring the # of hours and mins. EXAMPLE start date 8/12/2005 time 13:15, finish date 8/13/2005 time 05:35 equals 16 hrs and 20 minutes. Can excel figure this for me or am I out of luck. |
Enter the date and time data in one cell as eg 8/12/2005 13:15 then subtract
one from the other. Format the cell as hh:mm -- Ian -- "tankerman" wrote in message ... if
[A1]='8/12/2005 13:15' and [B1]='8/13/2005 05:35' then [C1]=B1-A1 and format [C1] as absolute time - menu: FormatCell..., tab: Number, category: Custom, type: [h]:mm Regards, KL "tankerman" wrote in message ...
