How do I create a weekly series?
In the fill series fill handle, there is monthly or yearly, but not weekly or
bi-weekly. How can i set it up to enter a date series by week? |
Depends on what version you're using.
Drag down date with right button, and when released, there might be a *bottom* choice of "series", *not* the "fill series" choice. This gives you an option to click on "days", and then pick a "step value", where you can enter 7 for weekly, or 14 for bi-weekly. -- HTH, RD ================================================== === Please keep all correspondence within the Group, so all may benefit! ================================================== === "eingram" wrote in message ... Sorry! Should have said Office 2003.
If I understand your answer it seems that I have to manually do it every time. Seems strange that they would have left out weekly in the auto grouping. Hi RagDyeR,
What version gives the option to click on "days", and then pick a "step value"? I tried Xl2000 and Xl2003 and they didn't. Regards, Stefi RagDyeR ezt *rta: Depends on what version you're using. XL2K *does* have that option, so would XL03 also.
I was referring to *old* versions, not the new ones. Try it again: Select cell containing date, *Right* click and drag on the "fill handle". Release mouse. Click on choice at the *BOTTOM* of the pop-up that says "Series", *NOT* the choice at the top that says "Fill Series". -- HTH, RD --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Please keep all correspondence within the NewsGroup, so all may benefit ! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- "Stefi" wrote in message ... OK. That works. I suppose for bi-weekly, I would enter a step value of 14.
Still seems strange that it wouldn't be built in, though. "Ragdyer" wrote: XL2K *does* have that option, so would XL03 also. I was referring to *old* versions, not the new ones.
