Linking data from one worksheet to another using ookup functions

Hello Excel Experts,

I have a roster system and I want to link it to a timesheet.

Meaning if Employee 1 is Rostered to work Monday then I want the start time to copy to the start time of Employee 1's timesheet.

In the Roster I have all employees names in a data verification list

The employees names range from A4:A11 and the Start times range from B4:B11

On the "ROSTER" Sheet, you will see that "Jo" has been rostered to start Monday at 10:00am. I want that information to copy to "Emp 1" sheet at G22.

Please help, I know there is a way to do this.

Thankyou

Actually

I don't see anything on the "Roster" Sheet as you have not linked it.

Try using a file sharing site similar to ExcelBanter or alike then
re-post the link here.

Cheers
Mick.

Hi,

Perhaps if you attach the example workbook we can see what you mean and help...
