box formatting

Hi,

I have a grid which is set up to represent my classroom.

It has boarders around some cells to represent desks.

The pupils names are in the desks but when I cut a name from a 'desk'
the formatting comes too.

Is there any way to anchor the formatting so it stays around the cell I
originally specified?

Thanks

How about using
copy, then paste special|Values, then go back to the other cell and clear the
contents?
