students grades, formulae to calculate what grade is needed based.
we have set up a excel sheet to monitor our childrens grades. i would
appreciate the formulae to calculate what grade my child needs to make on the final to make a 90 in a particular class, if the final is weighted at 55%. His current grade is 80, as an example. thanks, mark |

Mr. Phillips: Thanks for your prompt response. Unfortunately, i could not make it work. in the worksheet, i have average, weighted grade, final grade, drop min, and need to make. i thought one must go from weighted grade, to need to make, and finally; to final grade??? i hope this offers some clarification, opaque as it were. thanks, mark -- mjreisbord ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mjreisbord's Profile: http://www.excelforum.com/member.php...o&userid=26961 View this thread: http://www.excelforum.com/showthread...hreadid=401755 |
Could you give some more detail on how the final grade is calculated? For
example: how many assignments are there for each student, and the earned grade and weight for each assignment. Are you dropping the lowest grade? "mjreisbord" wrote in message ...
