formula based on text information
hi all
I want to create a roster sheet with a formula that will return a result based on the number of absentees. I want to enter the words Holidays, Off or Sick, and have the formula calculate the number of people absent on that day. Does anyone know how to create this sort of formula based on alpha data? thanks Kathryn |
=COUNTIF(A1:A100,"Holidays")
