Linking Spreadsheets
I have a spreadsheet with several workbooks that I need to link to a
different spreadsheet with its own workbooks. I know I can build a llink between the two spreadsheets and share information across them. However, I need the ability change the location of the spreadsheet and the name of the workbook within the spreadsheet. I can build the string with the drive letter, path, file name, worksheet name and cell, but I cannot see how to get Excel to use that to pull in the information I need. I need this for two reason. The first is that I'd like to be able to move them to different folders and even drive letters with only a mimum of change. The second reason is that I change the names of the workbooks based on the content of the data but the workbook content does not change. Any suggestions? |
