I would like to insert a VISIO drawing into a worksheet and produce a
comprehensive file - no need to leave EXCEL. One way is to use "Insert Object". This brings up a dialog box letting you choose between "Create new" and "Create from file." If your Visio drawing already exists, choose "Create from file" and navigate to the existing file. Otherwise, choose "Create new" and select "Microsoft Visio drawing" from the "Object type" list. You can grab the inserted object's corner to resize it. You can double-click on the inserted object to edit it in place. I've found it more convenient, though, to select it and use Edit Visio object Open which opens an instance of Visio to modify the drawing. Visio has to be installed on the machine to modify the drawing. |
