How do I delete the same item from all pages of a workbook?
Need to delete multiple items that are on all sheets of a large
workbook...Help! |
To do this, the multiple items must appear in the same locations in all
sheets of the Excel document. Right click any sheet name and choose "Select all." Then, when you delete the contents of cell B3 in Sheet 1, the contents of B3 in all other sheets will also be deleted. To delete non-contiguous cells, hold down the Ctrl key as you select additional cells after the first. Be sure to Ungroup sheets when you finish. "Suz" wrote in message ... Suz Are the data contained in the same cells throughout each page of the workbook? For instance does the cell b14 on all worksheets of the workbook contain the same information for (say) successive weeks? If what you want to do is delete (for instance) cell B14 on all sheets, here's what you do: Select all sheets - you do this by right-clicking on the tab at the bottom of the screen. If you want to select sheets 1,2,4,and 10 (for instance) use the shift key and left click on the tabs. Select on the sheet that is visible (the selected sheets should have their tabs coloured white) the cell you want to delete - B14 in this example. All contents of B14 in all the sheets you have selected should be deleted once you hit the DEL key. Does this fix it?
