moodysmb

how do i unhide column after saving file

I was using excell 2000
Saved worksheet with 3 colums hidden.
opened worksheet
Highlighted column before and after columns i hid.
clicked unhide.
Hidden Columns did not display.
How can I recover these columns?thank you sharon m brown

CLR

That should have done it..........
Two things come to mind.........is the sheet "Protected"
Maybe the columns are showing but very narrow...........try highlighting the
columns on either side and setting the colunn width to something like 8 ro
10........

Some quick diagnostics ..

Press CTRL+A (selects the entire sheet)
Click Format Column Unhide
Click Format Column Width 8.5 (say)
(Some column widths may have been inadvertently set to zero)

Clear any frozen pane (another possible culprit ..)
Click Window Unfreeze Panes

Thanks for your help,
how do i find out if the worksheet is protected?
assigning a column width of 8 didn't solve the problem..

Michael

Hi Sharon
Chuck has just about got it covered, but if you want to do a global unhide,
select the button where the row headers and column headers intersect, ( up in
the top left hand corner).....and then click Unhide.
