why doesnt my RANDBETWEEN function work?
 

only problem I seem to have is that I don't seem to have the function. It
doesnt appear as a valid function. Even though I have Excel2003 and the
latest updates

Go to Tools - Addins - Analysis Toolpak - Ok
And then try it....

You have to install the Analysis ToolPack add in:
Tools-Add-Ins- Analysis ToolPack
